The Functional Relational Electronic Database is a web-based application that enables the staff of Magnus Marine to keep track of quotes, jobs and the parts needed to build their products.
The Functional Relational Electronic Database system provides Magnus Marine with a web-based interface, allowing them to create and print quotes, convert the accepted quotes into jobs and then allows them to build up a parts list from a huge database of parts.
This provides them with a parts list for ordering from their suppliers, an extremely accurate costing history when referring back to previous jobs and a quick way to duplicate previous orders. All historical data held within various spreadsheets was imported as part of the project, meaning that users only need to look in 1 system for the data.
